April 18, 2004. Winds were howling at 35-45 mph plus, and the sky looked like it could open up with rain at any minute. That didn't stop forty-five or so BT Kansas riders from making the distance to arrive in Haysville, KS for the First Annual BT Kansas BBQ.

Pies, cakes, and seventy pounds of smoked pork steaks, brisket, brats, and turkey greeted the group .... and everyone was able to add a little "wind ballast" for the ride home!

We'll do this again in 2005. Hopefully .... next year's weather will be a little less fierce! It was a great reunion, bringing together the first riders of BT Kansas with the most recent to the group. The circle of friends continues to grow.
