Backroads Touring - Kansas

I would be willing to lead a group on Friday afternoon. We could leave about 1:30 p.m. and spend 3 - 4 hours exploring either the low maintenance roads north and west of the campground or the low maintenance areas between Council Grove and Eskridge that we usually only ride as an afterthought on the way back to the camp. If there is interest, post along this thread and I'll see what would work out the best.

Hey Tim, sounds good. The area west and south has lots of good stuff. Well so does east and north so go figure. you plan the route and I will tag along Laughing

I do need to be back by 4:30 for my pedicure and nails, so don't get us lost. Shocked

I've been really out of it all winter with a foot problem. Hope to have it resolved before the Stampede. Anyway, it looks like the Friday ride is on. We'll plan to leave the campground around 1:30 for a ride, most likely to the west and south or maybe west and north towards Junction City. This will all depend on the weather as some of the roads can really get nasty when wet. If you want evidence, locate the photos of the 2005 and 2007 stampedes. The ride will probably last 4 - 5 hours.
