Does anyone have a picture of the guy who rode Tincup with us? He was riding the X-Challenge.

Hey Guys,
Made it home from my two week trip thru Colorado and wanted to add a few pictures.

This is part of the "Bob Morgan Death Ride"

Mike working it.

Mike and Bob on the UTE Trail.

Bob doing his "Captain America" pose.

My last day at the Cabin I ran across the heard of Big Horn sheep that Bob told us about.

Old RR tunnels.

I bummed around the state for a few days before attending the Rocky Mountain Adventure Rally at South Fork. Here I am at Bauers Point, it is a long ways down behind me.

The last day of the Rally we encountered lots of rain and there were several GS1200's, V-Stroms, a Tiger and a Cagiva that were wishing they would have picked a different ride that day. We spent several hours pushing them from one muddy hill to the next. Those bikes are Damn heavy.

Once again I want to thank Bob for putting this trip together and guys I had a great time riding with you all.
Glen

Glad to here you made it home safe!! Thanks for the pics.

What the pic of the trail doesn't show is how steep it is.......... and thanks for not showing the pic of me pinned against the tree crashed on the way up that stretch. Laughing

Anyway, I can't wait to do it all again next year! But it will be hard to duplicate the great crew in attendance this year!

Oh Jessie.............. you would have loved this stretch, and I would have so let you take point. Wink The pics don't even come close to doing the loop justice. I never felt like I was in over my head but I was defiantly up to my chin. The worst part was knowing you were off the gps map, and not knowing if it was a dead end, and we had plenty of those.
Next year I'm following you!! Cool

Glen (Mr. 2 weeks in Colorado) ......... I almost forgot. I was back to work for one whole day before someone was up in my Grill.
I just wanted to remind you that it would probably be a good thing if you could "tighten up" you 2 minute drill a little. Wink Misery loves company. Rolling Eyes

Thanks for bringing me back to reality Bob, I'm still off this week but the days are counting down. Speaking of deadends, while I was is Lake City I did a loop to the south working my way west to Silverton and then back to the camp ground that I was staying at. I had gone down this gravel/dirt/rock road for about 35 miles when I came to this.

While I was sitting there deciding if I could make it thru or not an old Chevy Blazer came from the other direction and the water was pushing over the top of his hood when he went thru. I had to turn around and backtrack about 55 miles back to camp. I was wondering why the water was so deep and then I looked to the side and saw these. Crafty little buggers they are.

No one has brought up the part of the "Death Ride" where we came to the water crossing and it was hard to tell just how deep it was.........

Being as I had gotten us into the mess I figured it was my duty to wade in to see how deep it was........ and there the two of you were sitting back in the dry with cameras, but not a single pic. Laughing Fortunately we were close to town by then, so I could stop wring out my socks! Good times. Cool

You just had to go and post more pictures, now I want to go back even more, if that's possible. By the way did you get the 990's miss sorted out?
Glen

Hey Glen, I feel the same way!! I got the miss figured out. It was the ignition switch. I had to replace the bottom electrical part, but not the key and tumbler. There were two contact parts in the bottom of the switch that were not making good contact. Thanks to the ADV board and knowledge of the KTM 950, I was able to trouble shoot it and fix it myself. What a valuable resource. Lets ride!!! Greg Very Happy
