Would like to do a repeat of what we did in 2008 ....
Mid to late Friday morning start from Wichita .... lunch at Country Dreams B&B in Marion County .... and then a backroads ride the rest of the way into Council Grove, arriving by mid-afternoon. We had a great ride doing this route and routine last year.
I'd need to know if you're a 'GO' by Friday the 29th of May, as arrangements need to be made well in advance at the B&B.

Im in for the ride to C.G. Probably stay at the Old Trail also. Cant wait. Will also be glad to ride sweeper for whatever group I ride with.

Thanks for the responses thus far.
Am planning on a Friday rendezvous around 10:00 am in Kechi.
Since lunch is a timed event, want to ensure we're not late for eats, so we'll ride secondary paved roads to Peabody, then up to Marion, where we'll refuel. From the town of Marion, another fifteen minutes or so to Country Dreams B&B.
Following lunch, entirely off-pavement the rest of the way to Council Grove. We'll be getting into CG around 2:00 pm, barring any mechanical delays. Last year, lunch was $10/plate ... all the baked steak we could eat. It was killer! I'll be getting any cost changes from them, soon.
If you haven't already indicated, please let me know ASAP if you'll be joining us, as I'll need to confirm numbers.

If you haven't already done so on this thread, let me know ASAP that you'll be joining our group so I can give Country Dreams an ETA and numbers.
If you want to do this ride and still make the afternoon ride with "Slowrider's" group Friday afternoon ... put a response on that thread about your travel itinerary. I'm going to try to get this group to the CG campgrounds no later than 1:30 - 2:00 pm, if not sooner.

Will probably know the ETA (lunch time) no less than a week in advance, once all the confirmations are in. When firmed-up ... will post the time on this thread.
Yes ... have eaten at Country Dreams many times the past sixteen years ... and it is one of my very favorites, too!

OK ..... here's the details:
Rendezvous Point - Convenience store in Kechi on Oliver, two blocks north of 61st. Note: Store is closed, be fueled-up and ready to ride.
Rendezvous Time - 10:00 am
ETA. Country Dreams - 11:45 am
ETA. Canning Creek Campground - 1:45 pm or sooner
Attendees - Ireland, Britt, Ken?, Roger
Anyone else in on this leg of the Stampede weekend? Let us know here by 5/29. If you get delayed coming in to the rendezvous point, my cel is 316 734 3010.

Riding the DR...love the Wee...think the DR will be much more rideable for the Stampede terrain
