I lead an intermediate group. I had a great time leading the group. I think the highlight for everyone was riding 9.2 miles on an abandoned railroad track that included 3 bridges.

Here is a link to my pictures. http://picasaweb.google.com/ajayhawkfan/FlintHillsStampede2009#

Eddie

If anyone else has pictures on the web why don't you link them here?

Here's a link to some pics, I didn't get enough, no box turtle road pics Sad , those seem to be almost as elusive as bigfoot pictures, I guess I was a little more interested in preserving my arse than pictures, looking at that first ditch to get over. If anybody got any pics of box turtle be sure and post em!

Thanks for leading the Ride Tim! Excellent job as usual, I really enjoyed it!

I GOT SOME PICS OF BOX TURTLE!!

Also, Larry Ostrom and I road back up to Little Egypt and Box Turtle on Sunday on our way home (to Abilene and Concordia mind you) and it was a muddy mess, but well worth it. We had to clean the mud out of Larry's KLR 3 times just to get thru.

Here are the pics that I got of the ride.

Thanks to Phil for leading our group. I have uploaded a few pictures. I think Phil or someone got some pictures of me talking to a real jackass in Cottonwood Falls. Whoever it was needs to post them and then everyone can see if they can tell which one is me and which one is the jackass. Actually they were two Mammoth Donkeys.

I got a picture or 2 of Box Turtle road also. I agree it was a muddy mess. According to the road signs, me and son went down Box Turtle road and came back up Dawson's Hill road. Same road it just had different signs on each end.
Some needs to pull my other leg and level me out, We got told "you should'nt have to much trouble on those lighter bikes" Laughing

It was all fun. A big thanks to Roger. Hope to see you all next year if not sooner.

That was probably me when we stopped and talked to you on Sunday. I thought it was great fun riding it on Sunday, actually made it a little challenging with the mud.

Where are the pics?

I am not complaining about the ride.... it was great fun, really!!!!
Very slipperery though, seemed like all foward motion stopped at every rock. Also , rode 170 miles or so with Roger on the scenic ride and no flats, but then me and son couldnt make it all the way down Box turtle without me getting a flat front!!!

Pictures to follow.

NO good, especially with a muddy tire. Glad you had fun riding up in Kansas.

Nice shots, Joe Applause

You and Matt are now officially members of the "Turtle Riders" club!

Remember riding that road once on my KLR650 when it was wet and slick ... and was ever so thankful to reach the end of it!

Glad you got to enjoy some time up here in the Flint Hills .... Best, R Cool ger
