Backroads Touring - Kansas

Searching for that fellow that came up to me, after the ride, and stated the reason he was in attendance at the Stampede on his Sherpa was because of me...... I left abruptly and ended up in the hospital to have some emergency surgery...... I was in a hurry and not quite sure what was going on with my health.... I'd like to finish the conversation with you, but didn't catch your name.....

Seems that I had been a little under the weather all the previous week and on Fri during an episode of extreme chest pain passed a gall stone from its place into my bile duct.... Made it thru the ride barely but was getting sicker by the minute....The last few stops I had bright flourescent urine, thought it was blood and was freakin' out..... My Son took me home to KC, and got sicker and soon found myself in Liberty Hosp.... just got out Fri..... And am on the mend after a couple of surgical proceedures...

Really hated to miss the festivities at the end of the ride,....but alas ...I live to ride again....

Phil Denk..... Your number did not stick on my cell phone and can't seem to locate it...I called Roger from the Hosp, to get the number but it was not the correct one.... So that is what is going on with me.....I'll be slowed up a few weeks...then ready to ride again......

Thanx to you all for my first real exposure to the total expansive vistas of the "Flint Hills" it was awesome !!!!

I had a great time at the Stampede and I'm glad you mentioned it on the Sherpa forum.

...those of you who know jc are aware of his enthusiasm and positive attitude...to have completed a 185 mile loop under the above described conditions shows incredible grit and determination...jc, brother, i'm so glad you're doin' ok...let's ride together again soon !!!!!!!!!!!
