If you are going to stay at a motel during the Stampede, I would suggest that you stay at the Bluestem Lodge. An acquaintence of mine owns and operates the motel, and he is a dirt/dual-sport rider himself. He would probably know some excellent routes and backroads rides if asked. I think he has ridden most backroads out of Eureka, and would be glad to share some of his local knowledge. If you call, ask for Ron! Thanks, Greg

That is where I would recommend staying as well. That is where I have stayed many times. Ron is a nice guy.

James Pratt (Adventure Rider Magazine) is doing an extensive article on my KLR....it's the red one in the photo with the Flint Hills Stampede sticker on it....can you find it?

The shapely blue-colored farkle is one of the most functional add-ons I've ever seen on a KLR
